Sorting Rows

Rows in the List Windows can be sorted alphabetically, based on any single column, and also on multiple columns.

To sort the rows by a single column, do one of the following:

The triangle shown in the header acts as a sort column indicator.

To sort rows based on multiple columns

  1. Right-click on any column header and select Multicolumn Sort...

This displays the Multicolumn sort properties dialog, which contains one row named sort by.

  1. In the Column field, select the first column to start sorting by, using the drop down list.

A second row appears named then sort by.

  1. Select a second column in the Column field for the then sort by row. The drop down list will contain only the remaining columns.
  1. Repeat this step to add further columns to define sorting properties.
  1. In the Direction field, select Ascending, or Descending, to set the sort order for each column separately.
