Solution

The MGLS_LICENSE_FILE or LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable is not set or is not set correctly.

Set either the MGLS_LICENSE_FILE or LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable to reference your license server. For example:

LM_LICENSE_FILE=1700@lic_server

Contact your system administrator for settings information.

The referenced server or license file does not contain the requested license feature.

Make sure the specified license server contains the requested license feature or that the correct license server or license file is specified in the MGLS_LICENSE_FILE or LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable. Set the MGLS_DEBUG_LOG_DIR environment variable and examine the client debug log file for more information about licenses that the application is requesting but may not be able to find.

All licenses are in use and the product does not queue for licenses.

Wait for the license to become available before invoking the product.

The specified license file does not exist.

Verify that the license file exists and test the checkout of the feature name with pcls_ok or mgls_ok.

The specified license file is corrupt.
