If you replace your license file with a
renewed license file, you may need to manually edit the file to
remove expired or soon-to-expire licenses.
This avoids receiving warning messages about expired licenses.
Also, some applications error out if they detect expired licenses.
Procedure
- Open your
license file in a text editor.
- Either
select and delete the expired or soon-to-expire INCREMENT lines
or comment them out with the pound sign (#).
For example:

- Save your
license file.
- If you
are using a mobile compute license, restart your application. If
you are running a license server, use the lmutil lmreread command.
